On the off chance that anyone even cares, I've decided to try this blog thing out. Again.
When I was in college, I had a livejournal that I haven't touched in...oh, I dunno...two years? More or less? I was pretty good at keeping it up, though, until I graduated and Real Life happened.
So, why give it another shot? Well, first of all, now that I'm in graduate school (and still dealing with Real Life), I wanted something that was really mine, where I could write what I want, when I want. I was an English major, and now I don't write nearly as much as I'd like. So blogging it is.
But really, the main point of this thing is all in the title: Plus-Size Barbie.
That's the nickname my best friend has bestowed upon me, and which I have subsequently embraced. What's it mean? Well, I'm a Big Girl who's taken years to learn how to actually like my body. Not only like it, but have learned how to work it. We all have issues with body image, but you gotta rock whatcha got.
And I do. Mostly. Sometimes. I try.
Honestly, I'm still trying to navigate this whole Real Life, Plus-Size Version, thing. So now you get to share the dream. Or something.
We'll see how it goes.
