Exhaustion, thy name is Middle School.

Did I mention that I'm in grad school getting a Masters in Education and a teaching credential? Well, I did now. I just started my first student teaching run at a middle school here in the Valley.

Now, let me preface this by saying that I taught 9th grade English for two years at a private school. So already I feel like my having to do student teaching is kind of silly. But whatever. Oh, and I'm taking the CSET on Saturday. Whee. Yay, No Child Left Behind.

Anyway, my first day of student teaching involved me doing a whole lot of nothing. Granted, it was the first day of school so things were kind of hectic and unorganzied, but still. Having to get up at 5:30 am and then sit at the back of a room filled with a bunch of 12-year-olds all day is not my idea of a good time.

Followed by work until 7? Oy. I need a nap. And all this until December.

So fun.

I looked super cute today, though. That made it a little better.

  1. So where's the pic of the cute outfit? I need visuals! Where's your inner teacher?!

  2. I didn't take one! I have a picture of me wearing the blouse I wore, though... But that's an awesome idea; I'm gonna have to start taking a whole lot more MySpace shots of myself ;)
